Seven sisters in patchwork cloaks,

Sat in the shadow of seven oaks,

Stringing acorns on silken strings,

Awaiting the coming of seven kings.

Seven years they endured their trials,

And then they consulted their seven dials,

O it's time, it's time, it's time they said,

It's very high time that we were wed.
